Who We Are

The Enterprise is a member-based, non-profit organization in Douglas, WY, dedicated to the enrichment of Douglas and Converse County.  The Enterprise was formed in 2016 through the collaborative merger of CANDO, Main Street Douglas, the Douglas Area Chamber of Commerce and

Enhancing the overall health and vitality of a community requires a great deal of effort.  It takes a network of community first people and organizations dedicated to the cause. 

Volunteers and participation in our events along with our strong business community help create Douglas as the tight-knit community we are proud to be a part of. 

What We Do

The Enterprise’s main objective is to attract and retain primary jobs, facilitate the expansion and development of new and existing businesses, enhance our area quality of life and place an emphasis on historic preservation in Douglas and the Converse County area.  

We accomplish this in many ways, one of which is community events which requires volunteer help and sponsorship.  The Enterprise hosts several annual events that needs volunteers, including the Platte River Photography Show, Downtown Flower Project, Jackalope Days, Independence Day Celebration in Jackalope City, WY State Fair Parade,  Cowboy Christmas and Fire on Main Street Chili Cook Off, and Christmas at the Depot.  Other events and contests hosted by the Enterprise include holiday contests, shop small Saturday, Community Awards Banquet, Movies in the Park and Farmer's Market. 

The Enterprise strives towards business enhancement and economic development in Douglas and Converse County to help make a positive difference in our community.
