Youth for Understanding

YFU is currently searching for caring host families to support YFU students for the coming school year. YFU students are diverse in background and interests but are selected because of their educational accomplishments, commitment to learning about the US and desire to share their own language and culture with their American family. Hosting a YFU student is an incredible way to gain exposure to a new culture and language, promote understanding and respect, and develop lifelong relationships around the world. We understand hosting is not a possibility for every family but you could become a YFU volunteer. This is another great opportunity for your members to gain exposure to a different culture. All YFU students are matched with a local volunteer who mentors and supports the student during their exchange.
