Friends of Medicine Lodge State Archaeological Site

We are the Friends of Medicine Lodge, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization of volunteers committed to supporting the park, in tranquil North-Central Wyoming. Friends of Medicine Lodge was established in 2015, later becoming a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in 2019. Our mission is to support Medicine Lodge State Park by enhancing the natural, cultural, recreational resources and overall visitor experience.

The State Parks budget is relatively fixed, and biennial. It provides the operating and maintenance budget for the Park. But Medicine Lodge also hosts at least 12 community, educational, and cultural events each year, and our organization's sole purpose is to raise funds to support and expand these events to a wider audience. That includes sponsoring events, purchasing supplies, materials, and volunteering.
