Who We Are

We are a committee of volunteers consisting of community members, military spouses, and veterans this is hosting The Wall That Heals that is supported by volunteers for the length of exhibit. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities, making it easy for individuals and groups to plug in and serve in a meaningful way. Volunteer opportunities are available in many roles, including: Wall Ambassadors Mobile Education Center Ambassadors Visitor/Welcome Center Ambassadors (only seated position) Parking Attendants Greeters/Floaters (available in two hour shifts) Ceremony Support Escorts Welcome (contact volunteer coordinator) Photographer (contact volunteer coordinator) Musician - TAPS bugler and bagpipes (contact volunteer coordinator) Memento Cataloguer (contact volunteer coordinator) Setup/Teardown (contact volunteer coordinator) With many ways to serve, volunteers can choose the opportunities that best fit their availability and strengths while helping create a meaningful experience for every visitor.

What We Do

We are a committee of volunteers that is hosting The Wall That Heals, a ¾-scale traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial is coming to Afton, Wyoming. The 375 foot long exhibit features over 58,000 names, providing a 24 hour, no cost opportunity for reflection, healing, education and honoring veterans. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity honoring our Vietnam Veterans that offers a space for healing—now coming to Western Wyoming for the first time. One of 31 sites across the Nation.
