Casper Police Department, Victim Services

The mission of the Casper Police Department Victim Service Program is to provide assistance for crime victims through crisis intervention, community referrals, and other support services necessary to expedite recovery and healing. Services are also provided for individuals and families who are survivors of crisis situations where a traumatic event has had an effect on the quality of their lives.

The Victim Services Unit of the Casper Police Department provides a twenty-four-hour crisis response unit to assist officers and victims at the scene of a crime or traumatic event. We provide crisis response intervention, referral services and advocacy to victims to help their healing process.  We assist families during traumatic events such as death or suicide. We also provide support services and enhanced advocacy for victims through the court process. Training is provided.
