Who We Are

trong Families Action Team’s mission is to provide a safe stable home for youth experiencing homelessness. In Wyoming, 1400 students (K-12) have been identified as being homeless. 349 of those students live in Laramie County. Of those students, 39 are 'unaccompanied'—meaning, they are homeless on their own, without family members.

What We Do

The Unaccompanied Students Initiative has been working to create a continuum of services for those students in Laramie County School District #1 who have been identified as homeless either through the school district or our various community partners. One of the ways we intend to achieve this is to implement Unaccompanied Student Residences for students age 16 -20 years old that are in high school.
