You are cordially invited to Habitat for Humanity, The Heart of Wyoming's 3rd Annual Building Haven. This evening will be filled with inspirational stories from families served by Habitat, auctions, wine tasting, and Nancy Norton from Denver Comedy Works.
The Building Haven event supports families like Rachel, and her three year old twins, Alivia and Issac. The inspiring story of this mom reflects a journey of a diligent and devoted parent ensuring that her growing family will have a permanent home to grow and thrive together in. Rachel is establishing her employment in the childcare industry and began to further her career through pursuit of higher education. Today, Rachel is nearing completion of her Child Development Associate Credential which will provide further opportunities within the industry. Rachel is an inspiration to us and her situation reminds us of how important and life-changing a stable home environment is.
Last year, the 2nd Annual Building Haven was a tremendously successful sold-out event. The event raised more than $20,000 to support building homes, offering financial education, and mortgage servicing to the over 20 homeowners that we currently work with.
As mentioned, we are pleased to announce that Nancy Norton, from Denver's Comedy Works, will be joining us for the 3rd Annual Building Haven Event. Also a practicing R.N., this versatile comedienne combines hilarious on the job story-telling with a fast-paced improvisational style that leaves audiences with little time to catch their breath. Her clean and engaging style of comedy has made her a huge hit at corporate events across the country, as well as internationally while entertaining the troops on two USO Comedy Tours.
