Families are invited to their school, sing in, and are directed to the gym. In the gym the families are served a prepared meal. Approximately 45 minutes later, the kids are escorted to a classroom to have a celebrity reader read to them. The parents are then able to receive information from visiting agencies, organizaitons, or college. The kids pick a free book to take home and are reunited with their parents. The families form a line to receive a Healthy Family Supplement bag and literature.
We need volunteers for:
Unloading the food bank truck to the designated distribution area.
Unloading, counting, and settin out books in the reading area.
Setting up tables.
Sign-in sheet monitor.
Serving the prepared meal (buffet style).
Handing out the Healthy Family Supplement bags.
Handing out the literature.
Break-down/clean-up.
