On January 17, 2022,
ServeWyoming will host the Martin Luther King Jr./Wyoming Equality Day of Service, Celebration & Remembrance/Wyoming Equality Day, to honor Dr. King’s legacy. Face masks will be required to participate.
The “day on-not off," will begin with the "Turning The Dream into Action" student art display at Art 321 (321 W. Midwest Ave), which is also the starting point for the march at 10:00 AM. The celebration will continue at 11:00 AM at 1st United Methodist Church (302 E. 2nd St).
Join us during the celebration for a sneak peek at the UPDATED Casper Freedom Trail Video, take the Pledge of Nonviolence & Unity, and participate in service through donations to Project Homeless Connect.
Following the celebration, you are invited to explore the Casper Freedom Trail, a community project highlighting the civil rights movement in and around Natrona County, view the full length Casper Freedom Trail video online or at 2:00 PM at The NIC, and continue to learn more about the rich black history of Casper through the online story map at:
