This is a volunteer position that will join a team of staff and volunteers committed to making a positive difference in the
lives of victims and survivors. The VIP Facilitator will dedicate between 6-12 hours per month, depending on the month
educating DUI offenders by sharing the stories of those directly affected by drunk/drugged driving.
GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION: To support the mission of MADD by helping victims/survivors of impaired driving share their stories, and by effectively communicating to DUI/DUID offenders to help them understand the seriousness of their crimes in an effort to reduce repeat offenses.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide the audience with an engaging and informative message about the risk of drunk/drugged driving.
Introduce VIP speakers to the audience and provide support during their presentation. Solicit donations for
MADD Victim Service programs during the program.
2. Set-up registration area by arranging tables, chairs, and organizing registration materials. Clean-up and
breakdown afterwards.
3. Register VIP attendees in compliance with MADD policies; includes, but not limited to collection of funds,
checking registration roster, ensuring paperwork is completed correctly, and training new volunteers on the
registration process.
4. Oversee and train registration volunteers.
5. Greet and welcome VIP speaker(s), provide support and encouragement before the presentation and follow-up
and feedback after the VIP.
6. Resolve issues and problem solve concerns.
