LifeChoice Volunteer Client Advocate Job Description

Job Summary
The Client Advocate will assist LifeChoice in fulfilling its mission of providing caring, compassionate
Christ-centered support to clients in crisis from initial center contact on the day of appointment,
through patient exam, to any permission based follow-up necessary. They will act as the patient liaison
with the medical staff and provide the client and their significant others, including family members, with
any referrals and center support available.
Reports to: Client Service Director
Essential Functions
● Work with Center Director, Executive Director and personnel to accomplish the mission of
LifeChoice with excellence, professionalism, integrity, and compassion
● Provide crisis intervention support for each client in an atmosphere of warmth, compassion and
hope through listening and other helping skills
● Provide accurate information on abortion, parenting and adoption
● Offer support, material resources, and referrals appropriate to a client’s situation. Ensure office
is properly stocked with all necessary materials and forms for each appointment
● Look for teachable moments with a client to share the love of Jesus and the Gospel message
● Manage flow between client and medical department
● Record client sessions accurately in Coolfocus in a timely fashion and promptly answer patients
phone calls (as needed)
● Assist staff with additional activities and maintaining cleanliness of office/patient areas as time
allows
● Keep up-to-date on statistics and information relating to pregnancy, abortion, and adoption
through provided in-services and training provided by Client Services Director.
Qualifications and requirement
● Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior
and Lord and is willing and able to communicate the Gospel
● Exhibit a strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of life, and sexual purity issues
● Agree with, sign, and uphold the Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith, and Policies and
Procedures of the center
● Be discrete and clearly understand matters of confidentiality
● Be dependable, stable, and capable of following through on commitments
● Complete Level I, Level II, and any additional training required
● Be familiar with scripture pertaining to the sanctity of life, forgiveness, and salvation
● Computer skills are a plus. Willing to learn computer programs

● Be self-motivated and require little supervision
