Volunteer: Troop Admininstrator

Troop Administrator registers the troop and renews memberships annually and serves as the main point of contact for council staff. By becoming a Troop Administrator, a volunteer agrees to read and respond to communications from staff including (but not limited to) requests for troop information, meeting requests, and troop support conversations. Communications from GSMW staff may be received in the form of a phone call, email, and/or monthly newsletters.

Other duties include:

Communicating the date, time, and locations of meetings and activitiesMaintaining girl participation records (i.e. attendance, awards received, badges earned)Obtain parent permission and council approval for activities and outingsCoordinate with the girl program mentor to update meeting information in the Volunteer ToolkitMaintain communication with council and keep troop team informed of updates, news, and eventsCoordinate with all volunteers of the troop to ensure goals and duties are in placeAttend Service Unit Meetings and communicate information to troop and troop team

Girl Program Mentor facilitates girl-led planning, preparation, and implementation of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) for one or more grade levels, utilizing resources including Journeys, Girl Scout Handbooks, and the Volunteer Toolkit. The Girl Program Mentor will also coordinate with other team members to organize outings and activities that align with the Journey’s theme.
