The Client Advocate will assist LifeChoice in fulfilling its mission of providing caring, compassionate, Christ-centered support to clients in crisis from initial center contact on the day of appointment through patient exam and any permission-based follow-up necessary. They will act as the patient liaison with the medical staff and provide the clients and their significant others, including family members, with any referrals and center support available.   Training is required and is provided.

The NIC is happy to begin it's cultural planning for Dia Los Muertos. We are excited to work with local organizations and community members to bring on an excellent family event. Our first order of business is to decide a time that the committee will meet regularly until November 1st.

Errands/Shopping: There may be times that the caregiver will not want to leave their loved one's side. They may need help getting a few supplies or groceries.

Brain Injury Advocates is looking for the support of a grant writer. We have had several significant organizational changes over the past year and are needing to identify potential funding sources to stabilize and continue to expand our community based services. Particularly our durable medical equipment loan closet and Representative Payee service.

Lion's Disability Transport Service is looking for assistance with writing federal grants to raise the funding to operate the program. Any person with grant writing experience would be helpful. 

Are you someone who finds satisfaction in organizing, cleaning, and repairing? The Nicolaysen is looking for individuals to help out with the ongoing cleaning efforts behind the scenes. We are seeking a grant writer/administrator to assist us in providing

The Long-Term Care Ombudsman program is looking for Volunteers to help advocate for Resident's rights in Nursing homes, Assisted living facilities and Boarding homes. This is an excellent opportunity to make the life of Long Term Care residents a little better. The volunteer would need to commit to 36 hours of initial training, 18 hours a year for continued certification and two hours a week in the facility virtually, or physically when visitors restriction are lifted. The volunteer needs to be a great listener, good at communicating and writing. Must be over 18 and pass a background check. 

OneReach is run solely by volunteers at this time and we welcome all volunteers or individuals who are in need of community service hours to interactively and emphatically serve a hot meal, free of charge, and donate clothing, hygiene, and safety items to individuals without permanent housing, who receive below the living wage, or who are hungry, so that they may be empowered to gain greater economic mobility, pursue health and happiness, and live a full and satisfying life within our community. OneReach also offers pre-scheduled transportation via bus to and from meals and church service at Element Church.     OneReach does this on the second and fourth Sundays of every month in the ANB Bank parking lot at 1912 Capitol Avenue from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm and, when we have enough individuals, offer mobile community outreach to areas and individuals in the community who are unable to make it to the bank.

The role of the board secretary is critical for the smooth operations of the board. Most commonly, this individual ensures that board members are given appropriate notice of meetings and proactively records these meetings. Some of the responsibilities of the board secretary are as follows:

- Assures that an agenda has been prepared by the board president and/or CEO and that the agenda is distributed in advance of the meeting

- Oversees the distribution of background information for agenda items to be discussed

- Prepares the official minutes of the meeting and records motions, discussions, votes, and decisions

- Prepares and provides the previous meeting’s written minutes to board members before the next meeting and records any changes or corrections

- Assures that documents (bylaws, Form-990, roster of board members) are are accessible to members.

- Schedules and notifies board members of upcoming meetings

- Holds members accountable for their tasks

- Actively participates/volunteers in the programs and services provided

Some desirable qualities for this position include a fluid set of skills such as strong communication skills and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks. This extremely driven and detail-oriented individual should also be well-versed in administrative work. Those who apply should be able to learn quickly and juggle many things.

QPR stands for Question, Persuade, Refer. The training teaches three steps anyone can learn to save a life from suicide. Those trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.

Volunteer opportunities are plentiful and are available in areas and seasons.

Every Angel helps in ways that they are comfortable with, whether its preparing patient meals from home or sitting with patients as a support unit while they are undergoing treatment. Each Angel has a unique skill to bring to the table. 

We are currently in need of volunteers to drive the service van that picks patients up from their homes and brings them to their treatment appointments and back home after. Shifts can be broken up or you can choose to work a full shift on a specific day of the week. 

We never turn away a volunteer and can always use help to run our fundraisers and help out with patient needs. When the COVID restrictions are lifted at Rocky Mountain Oncology we have Angel volunteers that come in for a couple hours during the week to visit with chemo patients and hand out snacks/beverages. This boosts the moral of the chemo room and brightens the day of our patients.

The Casper Soccer Club is a nonprofit organization, seeking experienced grant writers to help the Casper Soccer Club to expand and improve the quality of the programs and outreach to the community through grant opportunities. 

We are looking for a Lived Experience Support Group Facilitator. 

The Lived Experience Support Group offers a safe, non-judgemental place for people to talk about the feelings that led them to attempt suicide or have thoughts of suicide. In an effort to lessen the risk factors that surround suicide, we discuss coping skills, resources, and information to offer hope in a time of need. 

The volunteer applicant must meet the following qualifications: 

**Please note that the group meets for 8 consecutive weeks, the facilitator must complete all 8 weeks of the cycle. 

This is a volunteer position that will join a team of staff and volunteers committed to making a positive difference in the
lives of victims and survivors. The VIP Facilitator will dedicate between 6-12 hours per month, depending on the month
educating DUI offenders by sharing the stories of those directly affected by drunk/drugged driving.

GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION: To support the mission of MADD by helping victims/survivors of impaired driving share their stories, and by effectively communicating to DUI/DUID offenders to help them understand the seriousness of their crimes in an effort to reduce repeat offenses.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide the audience with an engaging and informative message about the risk of drunk/drugged driving.
Introduce VIP speakers to the audience and provide support during their presentation. Solicit donations for
MADD Victim Service programs during the program.
2. Set-up registration area by arranging tables, chairs, and organizing registration materials. Clean-up and
breakdown afterwards.
3. Register VIP attendees in compliance with MADD policies; includes, but not limited to collection of funds,
checking registration roster, ensuring paperwork is completed correctly, and training new volunteers on the
registration process.
4. Oversee and train registration volunteers.
5. Greet and welcome VIP speaker(s), provide support and encouragement before the presentation and follow-up
and feedback after the VIP.
6. Resolve issues and problem solve concerns.

PURPOSE OF JOB: To support the mission of MADD by registering DUI/DUID offenders to attend court-ordered VIP’s.

These panels are vital in that they demonstrate to offenders the seriousness of their crimes, bringing a human aspect
and real perspectives from the victims of impaired driving.

DUTIES:
 - Set-up and break down registration area (e.g., tables, chairs, paperwork)
 - Complete paperwork, check photo ID, collect fees
 - Work with VIP facilitator to resolve issues both during registration and during the panel
 - Reconcile VIP funds
 - Respond to VIP Program Manager requests for VIP registration volunteers
 - Reach out to VIP Program Manager if/when you are able to volunteer at a particular panel

PURPOSE OF JOB: To support the mission of MADD by sharing your story with DUI/DUID and Minor in Possession (MIP)
offenders to help them understand the seriousness of their crimes in an effort to reduce repeat offenses.

DUTIES:
 - Create a 15-20 minute presentation with support from MADD staff

 - Share your presentation at a Victim Impact Panel

 - Answer questions, if appropriate, from VIP attendees

  BUS AMBASSADORS NEEDED: Cody Council on Aging operates a public transportation system, and we are seeking volunteers to assist seniors and those with disabilities in tasks we are not able to do with our door-to-door transportation program. We operate between the hours of 8:00am and 3:00pm, and are requesting volunteers to take a regular three-hour shift, one day per week to socialize with our passengers and respond to needs as they arise. Just a few of the following support activities could apply:

Must be able to pass a background check and attend a training (Tentative Saturday 2/20/21 or 2/27/21, depending on volunteer recruitment effort).  Must also be physically able to assist others with mobility challenges. This informative and fun training will be from 10:00am to 12:30pm, and lunch is provided.
