We’ll pair you up with a learner in Ukraine for weekly one hour videochats at times that are convenient for you. During your conversations, you’ll practice English with your partner, learn about each other’s cultures, and offer an empathetic, authentic space for connection.

Volunteer Tutor/Mentor Opportunity 

Step Up Tutoring is seeking volunteers to provide virtual 1-on-1 tutoring to 2nd-6th grade students from underserved communities to help build fundamental math and literacy skills and to provide support and encouragement. All tutoring will take place virtually! All you need is a computer and internet access. No prior tutoring experience is needed.

Responsibilities:

Tutor 1-on-1 twice a week via an online video platform; each session is 45 minutes

All training is done through online, self-paced modules. No prior tutoring experience is required.

Focus on building fundamental math and literacy skills using evidence-based online programs

Synopsis of Volunteer Opportunity

The Apogee 307 Foundation seeks 1-10 volunteers to mentor youth in grades K-8 at our education campus in Casper, WY, from September 2, 2025, to May 29, 2026. Volunteers will engage in weekly 3-hour shifts at 948 Glenarm, reading with kids, supporting math skills, or having conversations to spark curiosity and a love for learning. Relation to Foster Grandparent Program

This program aligns with the Foster Grandparent Program, where seniors mentor youth to support academic and personal growth, building meaningful connections and requiring background checks. Unlike the age-restricted Foster Grandparent Program, Apogee 307’s initiative welcomes all ages but prioritizes seniors over 55 if spots fill. It focuses on nurturing compassionate, curious individuals, fostering well-rounded humans through local engagement in Casper, rather than solely academic achievement.

The Campbell County Rockpile Museum is in need of assistance putting on our annual World War II program for local sixth graders.  Specific volunteer duties include activity preparation and implementation, group leaders, station organization, and student oversight.  Shifts are for 3 hours or less and in the morning or afternoon.  The work is not overly strenuous, but you may be on your feet for long stretches.  Give us a call if you would like to help teach sixth graders the stories of our Greatest Generation.  

Connect with our patients and clients by providing friendship and emotional support as they navigate the end-of-life journey. Comprehensive trainings are provided to all volunteers and available throughout the year. Application packet is available and includes background check and driving record.

Troop Administrator registers the troop and renews memberships annually and serves as the main point of contact for council staff. By becoming a Troop Administrator, a volunteer agrees to read and respond to communications from staff including (but not limited to) requests for troop information, meeting requests, and troop support conversations. Communications from GSMW staff may be received in the form of a phone call, email, and/or monthly newsletters.

Girl Program Mentor facilitates girl-led planning, preparation, and implementation of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) for one or more grade levels, utilizing resources including Journeys, Girl Scout Handbooks, and the Volunteer Toolkit. The Girl Program Mentor will also coordinate with other team members to organize outings and activities that align with the Journey’s theme.

On the first Saturday of every month, the Wyoming State Museum hosts Family Days, a completely free event series that welcomes families to experience the museum and engage with a variety of fun topics including:

While each month's theme is different, every event offers crafts, activities, and games that inspire children to get creative and learn about the world around them.

Volunteers in this role will get to interact with hundreds of families, facilitating crafts and helping guests get the most out of their experience. Your shift will begin with a brief training on how you'll facilitate the activity or game that you are in charge of, then museum staff will check in with you regularly throughout the event to be sure you have everything you need.

Each event consists of one 5 hour shift from 9:30 am - 2:30 pm. If that shift does not work for you, we are happy to accommodate with a half shift, just let us know! Any individual who is passionate about childhood education, families, crafts, and FUN should feel encouraged to volunteer. We welcome and appreciate people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities!

This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to develop teaching skills and help the families in our community become more connected with the museum and its exciting resources. A lunch break (and food) is provided for volunteers who work the entire 5-hour shift. Volunteering in this role may lead to future opportunities working in the museum’s collections, education, and community engagement departments.

The Volunteer Educator is responsible for walking assigned clients through the education process.  Is able to provide Christ-centered, caring, and compassionate education in the lives of clients and their families.  A class can have up to 10 clients enrolled.  Training will be required and is provided.

Through the SAE A World In Motion (AWIM) AmeriCorps Wyoming program, service members have the power to make a difference and change the lives of PreK-12 students throughout Wyoming communities. This unique service opportunity expands vital access to STEM education for young learners to help them discover their full potential and succeed.

Service members will receive a living allowance and are also eligible to earn the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award.

Upcoming service cohorts will work with school and community-based organization site partners in Albany, Laramie, and Natrona counties.

Is there something you know how to do that might be interesting to someone else? Are you an expert at making something? Do you have special knowledge that you want to share? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you might have what it takes to teach a class at Maker Space 307.

We work with prospective teachers to develop a lesson plan and ensure the required time, materials, and equipment are in place to make a class successful. If you are interested in teaching a class, please fill the form out below, and don't forget to tell us what you want to teach.

Typical classes are 1-2 hours and we allow teachers to make their own schedule as much as possible.

Actively looking for additional cadets for our cadet program and senior members to supervise, guide and educate the cadets.  Urgent need for a public affairs officer and people willing to train for emergency response positions.

Our foundation is seeking businesses and/ or individuals that would like free QPR training. 

QPR stands for Question, Persuade, Refer. The training teaches three steps anyone can learn to save a life from suicide. Those trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.

We are looking for volunteers to help guide clients through Medicare Part D during open enrollment. We need help in rural areas of Wyoming and Casper. 

Volunteers assist with education programs including School Tour Programs and Adult Tours. We will provide training. 

Responsibilities include greeting visitors and answering questions, helping visitors in gift shop, re-stocking gift shop, helping with purchases/cash register, light cleaning/dusting, help opening and/or closing. We will provide training. 

Assist with supervision at Young Marines drills and activities.

General Description:  Activity Medical Officer (AMO) is responsible to the unit commander for all matters pertaining to the health of the Young Marines attending drills and events.  There are two Adult Volunteers designated as AMO at each event.

Drills are typically the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month starting at 2PM.  The AMO is expected to attend one drill a month and/or additional dates/activities as needed.  Drill schedule info can be found on our website: www.cmym.org/events
