The Lived Experience Support Group offers a safe, non-judgemental place for people to talk about the feelings that led them to attempt suicide or have thoughts of suicide. In an effort to lessen the risk factors that surround suicide, we discuss coping skills, resources, and information to offer hope in a time of need. The volunteer applicant must meet the following qualifications: Completion of 40 hours of Peer Specialist Training over the course of five days with receipt of certificate from the Wyoming Department of Health OR equivalent of Bachelors’ level Human Services Degree. Completion of at least one suicide intervention training course (ASIST/QPR) Completion of CALM training Completion of LGBTQ 101 facilitated by Wyoming Equality Completion of Sexual Harassment Training**Please note that the group meets for 8 consecutive weeks, the facilitator must complete all 8 weeks of the cycle.
