Needs From: Volunteer Wyoming

Volunteer: Social Media and E-Commerce support

Interested in history, archaeology, or outdoor recreation?  We want you!  You can be located anywhere, but supporting the Friends of Medicine Lodge State Park and Archaeological Site in north-central Wyoming.  Our organization exists to support Medicine Lodge State Park, a jewel in the Wyoming State Parks system.
We run a lean machine, with a just-launched e-commerce site (friendsofmedicinelodge.org).  This is our main source of revenue, since most of our Board does not live near the Park.
We are looking for someone with back-end Shopify experience, who also loves engaging with social media.  In this area, Facebook is the channel that gets the most reach, but we have a lazy Insta page as well.
Can you help us with our new Shopify entity to get it into a more self-sustaining mode, along with social media engagement to boot?

Volunteer: Become a Public Transportation Bus Ambassador!

BUS AMBASSADORS NEEDED: Cody Council on Aging operates a public transportation system, and we are seeking volunteers to assist seniors and those with disabilities in tasks we are not able to do with our door-to-door transportation program. We operate between the hours of 8:00am and 3:00pm, and are requesting volunteers to take a regular three-hour shift, one day per week to socialize with our passengers and respond to needs as they arise. Just a few of the following support activities could apply:

Dropping our passenger at their destination, an Ambassador may assist with grocery shopping--especially serving those with mobility issues! When picking up our passengers, an Ambassador could assist with taking a passenger's trash to the dumpster, or checking their mail. Assist as they take their pet to a vet visit. Accompany them to medical appointments, helping them navigate their way through medical facilities. Conversing with all passengers to relieve their sense of isolation--for many a trip to a retail store is their only social activity each week!

Must be able to pass a background check and attend a training (Tentative Saturday 2/20/21 or 2/27/21, depending on volunteer recruitment effort).  Must also be physically able to assist others with mobility challenges. This informative and fun training will be from 10:00am to 12:30pm, and lunch is provided.

Help us to kick off this new Volunteer endeavor...sign-up to become a CCoA Bus Ambassador today! Call 307-587-6221 for an application.
