Who We Are
Collect. Preserve. Educate. The Campbell County Rockpile Museum tells the story of the Powder River Basin.
What We Do
We offer permanent and changing exhibitions along with educational programming, performances, and events to provide insight into the interesting past and present of the area. There are numerous interactive activities for both children and adults. Several short videos on coal mining are available which describe blasting, excavation, and transportation of coal as well as reclamation of mined lands. We use volunteers to implement programs, manage historic collections, work at our front desk, and many more duties. This museum does not run without our volunteers. We would love to have you join us.
