The Foster Grandparent Program is a Senior Corps volunteer program that offers seniors age 55 and older a paid non-taxable stipend as a mentors, tutors and caregivers for children and youth with special needs. Foster Grandparents may serve 15-40 hours per week in community-based organizations such as elementary schools, hospitals, day care programs, after-school programs, Head Start and Even Start programs.
