Wyoming Wild Horse Improvement Partnership

Who We Are

Balanced ecosystems, thriving mustangs. We are connecting with vital stakeholders in the state of WY to help create and implement strategies to manage wild horse populations. Wild horses are a valuable part of the landscape and history of Wyoming, but also in direct competition for valuable resources important to other industries and wildlife. Without sound management they are a threat to themselves and other species. Most current management techniques are not based on science or respectful of the emotional, mental, and physical needs of the horse. Our goal is to change that!

What We Do

Remote delivery of immunocontraception, wild horse conservation and management, consultation and advocacy on wild horse issues relevant to WY and the US. Adoption assistance of wild horses, including resources for training, transportation and handling.
