YWCA Center for Families and Children

The Sweetwater County Family Justice Center provides support and information for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and other family violence.   

Advocates are available 24 hours a day and will:

• meet with survivors
• listen to survivors
• provide survivors with safety
• inform survivors of resources
• inform survivors of options
• assist survivors with filing Family Violence Protection orders, Stalking Protection orders and Victim's Compensation claims
• accompany survivors to law enforcement, court hearings, medical treatment and/or human services agencies.

Support groups are available for adults, teens, children, adult survivors and non-offending family members.

The Sweetwater County Family Justice Center provides a temporary safe and supportive home for survivors and their children.  Basic needs are provided at the Safe House such as food, clothing, diapers, teporary transporation and an advocate at all times.

*The Sweetwater County Family Justice Center and The Support and Safe House are both programs under the YWCA of Sweetwater County.  In the upcoming years the two programs will combine and be known as the Sweetwater County Family Justice Center.  The same services, programs, resources and support will be available. 

The Sweetwater County Family Justice Center is located in Rock SPrings, Wyoming, is a safe and comfortable location where survivors of family violence and their families can come and get all of the help they need in one place.

Dedicated and passionate professionals from our numerous partner agencies work together to assist you in receiving help and can also provide options for assistance. The YWCA Support and Safe House is now housed in the Sweetwater County Family Justice Center and provides advocates that are able to provide support and services to victims.
