Who We Are

The Wyoming Senior Olympics (WSO) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring adults aged 50 and older to lead active, healthy lives. Through competitive and recreational sports, WSO promotes physical fitness, mental well-being, and meaningful social connections.

WSO provides venues for senior sporting events in accordance with the National Senior Games Association’s requirements, ensuring a high-quality and enjoyable experience for all participants. Each year, we host games that offer a broad range of athletic activities in a safe and welcoming environment.

In 2025, WSO is expanding its reach by introducing 35+ age divisions in select events, allowing more individuals to engage in competitive and recreational sports. Our flagship events—the Wyoming Senior Winter Games and the Wyoming Senior Summer Olympics—continue to offer exceptional athletic experiences for adults 50 and older.

What We Do

WSO is more than just a sports competition—it’s a movement that fosters lifelong health, social engagement, and personal achievement. Our events bring communities together, inspire individuals to stay active, and celebrate the perseverance of older adults.

Adults 50+ – Our core participants include retirees and active seniors who seek to stay fit, socially engaged, and competitive.
Adults 35-49 – With the introduction of 35+ age divisions, we are welcoming a new generation of athletes looking for both recreational and competitive sports opportunities.

WSO hosts both winter and summer games for adults 50+, as well as monthly events across the state for participants aged 35 to 100+. These games provide athletes with the opportunity to compete in Olympic-style, multi-sport competitions while promoting health, camaraderie, and active lifestyles.

With over 20 sports to choose from, participants can compete in:
