Who We Are
Casper Mountain Young Marines is a unit in the national Young Marines program. Our mission is to positively impact America's future by providing quality youth development programs for boys and girls (8-18) that nurture and develop its members into responsible citizens who enjoy and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
What We Do
Our drills consist of physical fitness activities, drug-demand reduction training, closed order drill (marching techniques and color guard), team building, and guidebook classes. We focus on self-confidence, academic achievement, honoring our veterans, good citizenship, community service, and living a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
Additionally, we travel with the Young Marines to pay tribute to historical events, honor veterans, and gain educational experiences in line with our mission. In the past year members of our unit have attended Navajo Code Talkers Day, the Warrior Games, rock climbing, camping, Young Eagles Flights, parades, leadership schools, and more. In the coming year, we will also be planning a trip to Pearl Harbor (December 2019) and sending some of our Young Marines to national SPACES with other Young Marines from across the country such as National Flight Academy, Leadership Schools, history tours, and more based on each individuals interests.
