Come walk with us for the 2022 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr./Wyoming Equality Day walk in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy.
3 Ways to walk with purpose:
1) Be of service while we walk. This year we will have a litter clean up crew at the end of the march helping to be of service to the community while cleaning up as we walk.
2) Support your fellow walkers. We are looking for folks to serve as part of the safety team to walk on the traffic side of the march to help keep everyone safe.
3) Walk in the march with family, friends, and your fellow community members and help us celebrate by turning the dream into action.
Some things to remember:
- Dress appropriately; to ensure all walkers are as comfortable as possible, please wear weather appropriate clothing for this event.
- You are invited to join us before the march kicks off at Art 321 (321 W. Midwest) to enjoy the student and community art display and enjoy a warm beverage.
- You are welcome to join us at the end of the walk for a celebration that will include a sneak peek of the UPDATED Casper Freedom Trail video, hear the National Service Proclamation from Mayor Ray Pacheco, take the Pledge of Nonviolence and Unity, and be of service by dropping off a donation for Project Homeless Connect.
